FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas basketball will close out its home slate against its fiercest rival.
The No. 19 Razorbacks (21-8, 11-5 SEC) host Texas on Wednesday, March 4, looking to put a bow on what’s been an exceptional season inside Bud Walton Arena. The Hogs have only lost once in their home gym and they have impressive victories over a number of teams that will feature in this month’s NCAA Tournament.

Arkansas must rebound after suffering its worst loss of the year. Florida cruised to a 34-point rout over the weekend, eliminating the Razorbacks from the SEC championship race.
The Longhorns (18-11, 9-7) are coming off a road win over Texas A&M. Wednesday’s game will represent another reunion between the Razorbacks and Tramon Mark, who played for Arkansas in Eric Musselman’s final season as head coach.

Can Arkansas basketball’s Darius Acuff Jr. get off to a hot start?
First halves have been a struggle for Acuff in each of the past two games. He was a combined 4 for 22 before halftime in games vs. Texas A&M and Florida.

Arkansas rallied past the Aggies, but the sluggish start against the Gators proved too much to overcome. With Karter Knox hurt and Trevon Brazile struggling from 3-point range, the Hogs can’t survive without consistency from their star player.
The night-to-night dominance has taken a step back in recent weeks with Acuff battling a nagging ankle injury. In each of the past three games, the freshman point guard has shown a noticeable limp. John Calipari has joked Acuff wouldn’t let his head coach give him a rest, even if Calipari tried.
Billy Richmond III vs Daylin Swain is a key matchup
Swain has been one of the conference’s best players since the calendar turned to 2026. In SEC games, the 6-foot-8 guard is averaging 19.9 points and 7.9 rebounds while shooting 54.9% from the field. He’s spearheading an offense that ranks seventh nationally in KenPom’s efficiency…
