Well, after starting the season 0-1 Purdue men’s basketball comes home to Mackey Arena for the first home game of the regular season. Purdue will be facing Valpo which is of course the ancestral home of Purdue legend Robbie Hummel. In game one Purdue fans saw some greatness out of Daniel Jacobsen while they also saw some trouble at other roster spots. Purdue’s three point shooting, purported to be a strength coming into this season, struggle mightily especially down the stretch against Gonzaga. Can they right the ship tonight against what is obviously a lesser team in Valpo? Purdue needs games like this to get things right, to gel as a team, and to give the less experienced players more opportunities. So in this one the margin doesn’t matter, I’m gonna look at the minutes played for a number of guys.
