After taking a closer look at Kawhi Leonard’s left knee, the Toronto Raptors have reportedly determined he’ll miss more time than initially reported. Leonard is expected to be out at least three-to-four weeks due to the injury, according to NBATV’s Chris Haynes.
The Raptors will reportedly wait until Leonard’s knee is clear of inflammation before re-assessing the injury. That’s expected to take three-to-four weeks, per Haynes.
At that point, the Raptors will make a decision on where to go next.

After being traded back to the Raptors in the offseason, Leonard played in just two games with the team before his knee started giving him issues. Shortly after the injury was originally announced, the Raptors said Leonard would miss at least one week before re-evaluating his injury.
At the time, the team said imaging did not show an acute injury — like a fracture or sprain — just swelling.
This story will be updated.
