Michigan State basketball to play exhibition on Izzone campout night

Michigan State basketball is currently undergoing grind week, welcoming back a ton of stars from the past and integrating them with the current Spartan roster, and a couple of key recruits that are on visits to East Lansing.

With all of the basketball team making their way to the football game against Eastern Michigan, a new piece of information has trickled out from Spartans Illustrated reporter David Harns. He is reporting that the Spartans will be playing an exhibition game against Incarnate Word on Oct. 2, the same day as the Izzone campout.

Incarnate Word has some connections to MSU assistant coach Doug Wojcik, with his younger brother Dave being on the UIW staff, while Cardinals head coach Shane Heirman being a former player of Wojcik’s at Tulsa.

An interesting wrinkle to a timeless tradition for the Spartans basketball program.
