Michigan State to host Merrimack, according to reports

Michigan State basketball is gearing up for the start of the 2026-27 season in just over six weeks time. Before that happens, though, the Spartans will need to finalize their schedule for the upcoming season.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Spartans annual matchup with Oakland received a date, and now, another piece to the puzzle has been announced by Jon Rothstein. Michigan State will be hosting Merrimack on Dec. 12 inside of the Breslin Center. Merrimack, led by Joe Gallo, have won four conference championships since making the move to division one in 2020.

This game just shows another way that Tom Izzo gives games to the top mid major programs across the country, as a very game Merrimack team will be in East Lansing.
