Top 2028 in-state prospect schedules Tennessee basketball visit

2028 five-star small forward DJ Okoth will visit Tennessee on Oct. 16, according to Dushawn London of 247Sports. He will also visit Kentucky (Oct. 2) and Vanderbilt (Nov. 14).

The 6-foot-6, 180-pound prospect is an in-state target from Bartlett High School in Bartlett, Tennessee. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 6 small forward in the class and No. 1 player in Tennessee.

Tennessee offered Okoth a scholarship on Sept. 2, 2025. Oct. 16 will mark his first visit to Tennessee.

Alabama State was the first school to offer Okoth a scholarship on June 26, 2024.

Other schools to offer him scholarships include Memphis, Illinois-Chicago, Mississippi State, Jacksonville, Missouri, New Mexico State, ULM, La Salle, Ole Miss, Alabama A&M, Texas A&M and Providence.

Tennessee does not have a commitment in its 2028 basketball recruiting class.

The Vols have four commitments in their 2026 basketball recruiting class: small forward Ralph Scott, power forward Manny Green, point guard Marquis Clark and power forward Chris Washington Jr.
