Duke basketball claims ACC regular season title for second-straight year

RALEIGH, N.C. — Duke basketball claimed the 2025-26 ACC regular season championship following its 93-64 dismantling over N.C. State on Monday night at the Lenovo Center.

It marks the second-straight year the No. 1 Blue Devils (28-2, 16-1 ACC) and head coach Jon Scheyer have secured the league’s regular season title. Duke clinched a share of the title following its 77-51 win over Virginia on Saturday before claiming it outright with its dominant win over the Wolfpack.

“I’m really proud of this team,” Scheyer said postgame. “To win the ACC outright, 28 wins at this point in the year, and just their professionalism, their approach, they’ve been an absolute joy to coach. We talked about it after Saturday, it’s great to get a share, that means a lot, but let’s get this thing outright.”

Duke dominated N.C. State, shooting 55.2% on the night with a 39% clip from 3. The Blue Devils’ defense held the Wolfpack to 35.4% from the field and 24% from 3, with it entering the game as the best 3-point shooting team in the league. Duke led by 17 at half, closing the period of a 29-12 run, and outscored N.C. State 46-34 in the second half.

Cameron Boozer led Duke with 26 points and nine rebounds, while Dame Sarr added 16 points and seven rebounds, with 14 of those points coming in the first half. Sarr added three triples on the night, his first time doing so since Duke defeated Florida State on Jan. 3. Isaiah Evans contributed 12 points, all of his four baskets coming from deep, while Patrick Ngongba II added 11.
