WASHINGTON — A grueling nonconference schedule for Arkansas basketball hits its first major road block this weekend in the nation’s capital.
The No. 13 Razorbacks (1-0) face No. 10 Virginia (2-0) Sunday, Nov. 8. It will be a homecoming for Jordan Smith Jr. and Cooper Bowser, who both grew up in the DMV area.

This will also be a first test for a young Hogs roster. A rotation filled with seven freshmen will play its first game on national television and meet an opponent with Final Four aspirations. The Cavaliers won 30 games last year in Ryan Odom’s first season as head coach. They lost to Tennessee in the Round of 32 of the NCAA Tournament.
