DeWayne Brown II finished with 17 points and 17 rebounds, recording his first collegiate double-double and setting career highs in both categories. His performance provided one of the most encouraging developments for Rick Barnes’ team.
Brown controlled the interior
Tennessee struggled to establish consistent offensive rhythm during the opening half. Wofford repeatedly answered the Volunteers’ scoring runs and remained within three points at halftime.
But Brown helped Tennessee establish control after the break. The sophomore forward finished 7-for-11 from the field and collected 17 rebounds, giving the Volunteers a significant presence around the basket.
