Can Lakers’ unquestioned star Luka Dončić step up to be face of NBA?

Luka Dončić enters his third season with the Los Angeles Lakers as the unquestioned star and leader.

He will take on a bigger role after LeBron James, the most recent star to bring a championship to the franchise and the longtime face of the NBA, left for the Philadelphia 76ers.

“It feels great,” Dončić said about his role for the upcoming season. “Obviously it’s a new challenge. I was in this position in my career a lot of times, so it’s not new to me. But I feel great. I feel excited. I’m ready to go. It’s been a long time since I played basketball, so I’m ready.”
