3 things that stood out from Purdue basketball’s exhibition win vs Ball State

WEST LAFAYETTE — The loose, confident scoring vibe Gicarri Harris displayed in Purdue basketball’s summer games in Canada appears to have carried over to the start of the season.

The third-year guard served as an offensive catalyst in the Boilermakers’ 87-55 victory over Ball State in Sunday’s exhibition opener at Mackey Arena. He made 4 of 7 from 3-point range while scoring 16 points and also led with five assists.

C.J. Cox added 15 points in the first of three exhibitions. Daniel Jacobsen collected eight points, six rebounds and five blocks. Former Purdue guard Aaron Fine had two points, two rebounds and two assists in 22 minutes.
