Watch highlights of Sixers new starting lineup, LeBron James’ preseason debut and more vs. Nets

The Philadelphia 76ers headed north on Thursday night to continue their preseason campaign with a matchup against the Brooklyn Nets.

The most exciting part is that it served as a first real glimpse of the new Sixers’ Big 5 — LeBron James, Jaylen Brown, Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe — starting a game together. Of course, it’s preseason, so while not exactly a true representation of what we might see later this month when the regular campaign begins, it’s the closest thing to the real deal that we’ve gotten so far! The starting five had two first-half stints on the floor all together against the Nets, providing a look at how the offense may be run and the type of ball movement they’re aiming form together.

Thursday night provided a bit of insight into the pace of play this lineup seems to be looking for, the progression of their offense, off-ball movements and more.

There’s still a lot of work to do — especially on the defensive end and with overall sloppiness — to get this five all in better sync with each other, but they certainly seem to be on the right track so far.
