The matchup provides an early look at Jon Scheyer’s latest Duke team following Saturday’s Countdown to Craziness event. It also features an interesting homecoming for Belmont head coach Evan Bradds, who returns to Duke after previously serving as an assistant coach with the Blue Devils.

Duke enters the new season with another talented roster featuring returning players, experienced transfers and highly regarded freshmen. Belmont, meanwhile, begins a new chapter under Bradds after winning 26 games and capturing the Missouri Valley Conference regular-season championship last season.

Although Thursday’s game is officially classified as a preseason scrimmage, both programs have plenty to gain before the regular season begins in November.
