Kel’el Ware is one of Milwaukee’s most exciting pieces after the Giannis trade. A 7’0″ center who turned 22 in April, Ware showed flashes of high-level athleticism, brute physicality, and floor spacing that could make him one of the league’s best bigs in no time. In his second season, Ware averaged 11.1 PPG and 9.0 RPG on .530/.395/.740 shooting splits while averaging 2.0 stocks per contest.
Ware has the physical ability to break down opposing defences, given his height and 250-pound frame. That strength comes into play when he battles for rebounds, sets iron-hard screens, or backs down opposing centers in the paint. Moreover, he has surprising mobility and foot speed, while his 7’5″ wingspan also proves invaluable when defending in the post and blocking shots.

On the positive side, though, Ware’s contract is also valuable for Milwaukee. As a high-upside young center, he is worth far more than the $4.7m cap hit the Bucks took to bring him to the Cream City. Milwaukee also holds a $7.1m team option for the 2027-28 season before he enters restricted free agency in the summer of ’28. All in all, Ware is already…
