Whether it be Matt Able, Terrence Brown, or Neoklis Avdalas, those are three guys I’m really looking forward to watching for North Carolina next season. North Carolina has an above-average roster, in my opinion, and a real chance to make some noise in the ACC if things go as planned.
The only thing I am a bit curious about is to see how North Carolina is going to distribute the amount of touches between those three guys.

It feels safe to say that those three guys are going to have the ball in their hands during big moments, something that should be the case if the Tar Heels are serious about winning games.
When it comes to Avdalas, he’s obviously much bigger than Brown and Able, even with Able being an oversized guard. However, it sounds like Avdalas believes that he’s also a guard, despite being nearly 6-foot-10.
“I would describe myself as a point guard. Most guys see that I’m 6-foot-9 and say, ‘that’s a small forward,’ but I would like to call myself a point guard.
“My teammates and coaches who see me play know that I can play point guard. I like to read the game, make the right decision every time and put my teammates in the right direction and score the ball,” Avdalas said, per On3.

Statistically, Avdalas doesn’t necessarily follow the traditional guard type of player, considering that he can score in multiple ways, but he’s also an above-average passer, and there’s something to be said about that.
He finished last season with 4.6 assists per game, which ranked 94th in the country in all of college basketball. When it came to shooting splits, there were times when he was a bit inefficient, and he probably should have been playing bigger than he was at 6-foot-9.
He shot 38.6% from the field on 10.8 attempts per game, as well as 31.4% from 3-point range on five attempts per game a year ago.
If he can get downhill a bit more and start using that size, even if he were to kick it out to some of the shooters North Carolina has, I think that would fit his…
