Former Duke Star Suffers Injury, Will Be Out Of NBA Action For A While

Last year, former Duke star Kon Knueppel missed a game and remarked that it was the first time he had ever missed a game. The guy is nothing if not durable.

Unfortunately, he’s going to miss a few games now, as the second-year Charlotte Hornets star has suffered a hamstring injury. It may keep him out for all of the preseason, and possibly some of the regular season as well.

It’s a tough break for Knueppel, obviously, but it’s not the worst timing for the Hornets. They’ll get a chance to look more closely at Christian Anderson (get ready for a lot of puns about his hands – Hands Christian Anderson, get it?), and how players like Grayson Allen, Liam McNeely, and the newly acquired Buddy Hield could fit in.

When Knueppel gets back, the Hornets could be better for the experience.
