Portland Trail Blazers season preview: Lineup, roster and prediction

Arguably no team has undergone more change over the course of the year than the Portland Trail Blazers.

They’ve seen their head coach at the start of the 2025-26 season charged in an alleged illegal gambling ring. They surprised and broke through in the NBA Play-In Tournament to make the playoffs as the No. 7 seed. Their interim coach was not retained, despite the success, and their new owner, Tom Dundon, has floated relocation in negotiations to upgrade the Moda Center, the Trail Blazers’ home venue.

And, the offseason also saw a big trade with the Memphis Grizzlies to acquire two-time All-Star Ja Morant, who is as dynamic an athlete as there is in the NBA, though his availability has been an issue.
