SNY’s Ian Begley reported that Konchar and forward-center Drew Eubanks were among the players on the Knicks’ radar this offseason. Begley reported Tuesday that Eubanks will sign a camp deal and will compete for a roster spot.

Konchar spent his first seven seasons with the Grizzlies before landing with the Jazz in the middle of last season. With Memphis, he averaged 14.5 minutes, 3.2 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 30 games last season, but produced more with Utah. Across 26 games with the Jazz, Konchar averaged 26.2 minutes, 5.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, and three assists per game.

Utah traded Konchar and Cody Williams to the Timberwolves in exchange for Josh Green and cash considerations this offseason. Minnesota then waived Konchar in late August.

As Begley notes, Konchar’s deal gives New York 14 players on NBA deals. If Konchar makes the roster, the Knicks will be right up against the second apron.
