Villanova announces Big East schedule

The entire 2026-27 schedule is officially here.

The opponents aren’t a surprise in any way, as the Big East has a double-round-robin schedule. Some of the dates do jump out though:

As Jon Rothstein recently reported, Villanova will play Connecticut at home on Super Bowl Sunday (also known as Valentine’s Day this year).

That will be the second time that the Wildcats play the Huskies in an 11-day span.

Villanova will complete the series with Xavier in the first eight conference games.

The first meeting with St. John’s doesn’t come until the 12th conference game.

The toughest stretch seems to be from February 3-26, where the Wildcats will face UConn and St. John’s twice, while also playing road games at Providence, Seton Hall and Marquette. The one “easy” game will be against Butler on February 20.
