MSU basketball announces home exhibition game against blue blood program

Michigan State basketball will be welcoming one of the nation’s top teams to the Breslin Center for a marquee exhibition game next month.

Michigan State officially announced on Thursday that they’ll host UConn for an exhibition game in late October. The game will be held on October 20, according to a social media post from Michigan State.

Details of the exhibition game were not included in the initial social media post by the Spartans. It’s expected that tip time and potential TV viewing options will be released at a later date.

This matchup between the Spartans and Huskies is the second leg of a home-and-home exhibition series that began last year. Michigan State traveled to UConn last fall for an exhibition game, which the Huskies won. UConn later in March ended the Spartans season in a close Sweet 16 matchup.

Michigan State has now announced two of their potentially three exhibition games for this upcoming season. The Spartans will also play at Marquette in an exhibition game on October 5.
