Dolphins fans boo Tua Tagovailoa

The Dolphins don’t have a big crowd tonight at Hard Rock Stadium, but they made a big noise nonetheless.

Dolphins fans let Falcons quarterback Tua Tagovailoa have it, according to multiple reports, booing him loudly as he came onto the field as the starter Friday night.

Tagovailoa spent his first six seasons in Miami after the Dolphins selected him fifth overall in 2020. He went to one Pro Bowl and played in one playoff game, ending his tenure there with 18,166 passing yards, 120 touchdowns and 59 interceptions.

The Dolphins released him March 9, and he signed with the Falcons in free agency.

Tagovailoa completed 3 of 4 passes for 54 yards, including a 37-yarder to Kyle Pitts on the Falcons’ first drive. Atlanta scored a touchdown on Brian Robinson’s 3-yard run.
