It’s a busy Tuesday for the Warriors, who have added another player in NBA free agency.

Veteran forward Georges Niang and Golden State have agreed to a one-year, $3.9 million contract, his agents Mark Bartelstein and Andy Shiffman told ESPN’s Shams Charania.

After a quiet offseason where they added no new players to the roster, Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy changed that with the additions of Niang and guard Brandon Williams earlier in the day.

Niang, who fills the Warriors’ final roster spot, has 32 starts across his nine-year NBA career, which began after a record-breaking tenure with Iowa State.

A career 40-percent shooter from 3-point range, Niang last played for the Atlanta Hawks during the 2024-25 NBA season before he was traded to the Utah Jazz and then the Memphis Grizzlies before missing the entire 2025-26 campaign with a foot injury.
