The Warriors filled one of their remaining roster spots on Tuesday.

Golden State agreed to a one-year, $2.6 million free-agent contract with guard Brandon Williams, his agents, Derek Lafayette and Curtis Lawrence, told ESPN’s Shams Charania on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old Williams, an undrafted free agent in 2021, signed with the Portland Trail Blazers for his rookie 2021-22 NBA season, where he averaged 12.0 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game on 37.2-percent shooting from the field and 29.2 percent from 3-point range in 24 games (16 starts).

Williams then spent the entire 2022-23 season in the G League before signing an Exhibit 10 contract with the Orlando Magic before failing to make their 2023-24 roster. He then signed with the Dallas Mavericks in Dec. 2023 on a two-way deal before being converted to a standard NBA contract in April 2025.

Last season with the Mavericks, Williams averaged a career-high 13.0 points per game with 2.9 rebounds and 3.9 assists on 47.2-percent shooting from the field and 23.2 percent from 3-point range.

He now joins a Warriors team looking to round out the rest of its roster after a rather quiet NBA offseason and heading into next month’s training camp.
