“Around the Big East” Season Preview: Creighton Blue Jays

2025-26 Season Recap:

16-18 record, 9-11 in conference play

Finished in 5th place in the Big East

Lost to Seton Hall in the Big East Tournament (Quarterfinals)

Head Coach: Alan Huss, who takes over for the retiring Greg McDermott. Huss played at Creighton from 1997-2001, and after multiple coaching stops became an assistant under McDermott in 2017. In 2023, Huss took the head coaching position with High Point, leading the Panthers to the NCAA Tournament in 2025. After that run, Huss decided to return to Creighton as the “coach in waiting.” As it turns out, he didn’t have to wait very long.

Josh Dix – Graduation (13.2 PPG)

Nik Graves – Transfer Portal/Graduation (10.9 PPG)

Blake Harper – VCU (7.7 PPG)

Josh Townley-Thomas – South Dakota (6 PPG in one game)

Owen Freeman – Auburn (5 PPG)

Kerem Konan – Duquesne (2.6 PPG)

Returning Players:

Jasen Green – 6’8″ graduate who averaged 10.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists on 54.4% from the field and 35.1% from three.

Austin Swartz – 6’4″ junior who averaged 10.9 points and 2.8 rebounds while shooting 38.3% from three.

Isaac Traudt – 6’10” senior who averaged 6.5 points and 2.5 rebounds per game while shooting 37.5% from three.

Hudson Greer – 6’7″ sophomore who averaged 4.7 points and 2 rebounds per game on 40.4% from three.

Jackson McAndrew – 6’10” junior who averaged 6.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. Only appeared in four games due to a foot injury.

Shane Thomas – 6’3″ senior who averaged 0.8 points per game in 18 games played.

New Players:

Wes Enis – 6’1″ senior transfer from South Florida who averaged 16.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists. Enis shot 39.1% from the floor and 35.2% from three.
