The Michigan Wolverines men’s basketball team just added a player with experience via the transfer portal.
Per Pete Nakos of On3, Columbia guard Kenny Noland has committed to Michigan.
Noland started 28 games for Columbia last season, averaging 17.1 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists. Keegan Pope of On3 classifies Noland as a true combo guard. Noland shot 49.5 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from three-point range.

“After graduating, he signed a professional contract with the Artland Dragons of the Bundesliga ProA in Germany. With the NCAA’s recent five-for-five eligibility ruling, though, he will return to college basketball for another season with the Wolverines,” Pope said. “Noland is a key backcourt addition for new head coach Mike Boynton, who returns a talented starting five but a group lacking elite depth after last season’s national title run under Dusty May.”
Noland led Columbia in made field goals, made three-point field goals, made free throws, assists, and minutes last season. It seems like this veteran collegiate player is a great depth addition to a Michigan team coming off a national championship.
