Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 basketball signing class. The Vols offered a scholarship to five-star point guard Cayden Daughtry.
“Blessed to receive an offer from the University of Tennessee,” Daughtry announced.

The 6-foot, 155-pound prospect is from Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 3 point guard in the class and No. 5 player in Florida.
Florida State was the first school to offer Daughtry a scholarship on June 13, 2023. Other schools to offer him scholarships include Arizona State, Mississippi State, West Virginia, Villanova, Georgia Southern USF, Rutgers, Michigan, Cincinnati, Dayton, Virginia, Miami, Georgia, Texas A&M, BYU, Pittsburgh, Sacramento State, Florida Atlantic, Ole Miss, Ohio State, Iowa, Penn State, Providence, Kentucky, Connecticut, Illinois, Florida, Louisville, LSU, USC and Texas.
Tennessee does not have a commitment in its 2027 basketball recruiting class. The Vols have four commitments in their 2026 basketball recruiting class: small forward Ralph Scott, power forward Manny Green, point guard Marquis Clark and power forward Chris Washington Jr.
