Kentucky Basketball reveals SEC opponents in a different way than usual

Kentucky Basketball released its 2026-27 SEC slate in an unconventional manner on Thursday. Kentucky men’s basketball socials collaborated with NBA Paint (NBA Paint on Twitter, nbapaints on Instagram), a popular social media brand that shares simple, fun, and humorous pieces of artwork showcasing different aspects of the NBA world.

The paint in the brand name comes from these designs, which look like they were created in Microsoft Paint.

Now, we get the SEC home and away games for this upcoming season via NBA Paint.

As you can see, within the collab, we received some funny artwork done by NBA Paint, playing off some of the mascots of our opponents within the conference.

In all seriousness, we now have our official conference schedule!

As a recap, Kentucky will host three opponents at home and travel to them. The Tennessee Volunteers and Vanderbilt Commodores are two regular home-and-home opponents that will continue to play. The third this year will be the Ole Miss Rebels, which is a little different.

In the new world of the SEC, with 15 teams outside of us, these schedules shift and move every year. Instead of a team like Florida, which Kentucky has played so many times in the past, the Cats will play the Rebels twice.

Home-and-home: Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss

Away: Florida, Georgia, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas

Home: Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, LSU, South Carolina, Texas A&M
