The Chicago Bulls have selected North Carolina forward Caleb Wilson with the No. 4 pick in the NBA Draft.
A 6-9 forward with a 7-foot wingspan, Wilson joins the Bulls following a standout season in Chapel Hill. Wilson arrived at UNC as an elite prospect and exceeded expectations with one of the best freshman campaigns in program history.

Wilson is arguably the best athlete in the draft and possesses a two-way skillset that comes with All-NBA and All-Defensive Team upside. An explosive scorer who thrives at the rim, Wilson attacks the game with a relentless motor. He crashes the glass on both ends of the court and is one of the best rebounders in the draft.
Fractures to his left hand and right thumb limited Wilson to 24 games and ended his season short of the NCAA tournament. But the injuries didn’t dampen his NBA prospects nor his consideration for NCAA accolades.

Wilson averaged 19.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.4 blocks per game while shooting 57.8% from the field. He was a first-team All-ACC selection and a consensus second-team All-American.

He is a capable shooter who shot 71.3% at the line and developed his mid-range game and turnaround jumper throughout his freshman season. It’s a foundation that shows room for development from long-distance.
On the defensive end, Wilson leverages his length and lateral movement to guard multiple positions on the perimeter and in the post. He doubles as a lane disruptor and a rim protector who projects to make an immediate impact on defense at the next level.
