The second year of the Richard Pitino era at Xavier University will begin at Cintas Center on Monday, Nov. 2.
According to a report from Rocco Miller, the Musketeers will open the 2026-27 campaign against Mount St. Mary’s.

Xavier finished 15-18 overall last season and went 12-6 at home. The Musketeers were 7-1 at Cintas Center during non-conference play.

Donny Lind has coached the Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers the last two seasons. In 2025, Mount St. Mary’s and Xavier were both at UD Arena for the First Four of the NCAA Tournament. Both squads advanced on the same day after Xavier rallied to beat Texas and Mount St. Mary’s beat American as a No. 16 seed.

The Mountaineers finished 15-17 last season and ranked No. 273 in KenPom.
Xavier’s full non-conference schedule should be released this summer. Of the known matchups, the Musketeers will host Iowa at Cintas Center to finish a home-and-home series after Xavier lost to the Hawkeyes on the road last year.
In November, Xavier will head to The Bahamas for the 2026 Battle 4 Atlantis, where they’ll face Texas A&M and Virginia. There’s also the 94th version of the Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout against the UC Bearcats at Fifth Third Arena on Saturday, Dec. 5.
It’s also been reported that Xavier has November buy games against Eastern Michigan and Cleveland State.
