There has been a lot of discussion surrounding the state of college basketball after Dusty May’s decision to leave Michigan for the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks. Jay Bilas told Front Office Sports that the timing of May’s departure was less than ideal.
May even spoke about the tumultuous state of college basketball to Jeff Goodman on The Field of 68 show just a few days before he accepted the Mavericks job.

Longtime CBS Sports college basketball analyst Seth Davis isn’t buying that college basketball’s house is on fire. He posted his views on the situation and compared it to some of the other decisions made by top-tier college coaches in the past.
It’ll be interesting to see if others come out in defense of college basketball in the aftermath of May’s departure.
