Unreal scenes in New York as city celebrates Knicks’ first NBA championship in 53 years

There’s no city like New York. And to New York, there’s no team quite like the Knicks.

New Yorkers packed watch parties across the five boroughs as the Knicks played the host San Antonio Spurs in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

They watched in the streets as strangers handed out pizzas.

They packed Radio City Music Hall as it glowed orange and blue.

And when the final horn sounded, Manhattan let out a collective, cathartic roar.

A closer look shows a different flavor of the same celebration across the city.

A zoom back out showed just how massive the party in New York grew.

And it showed no signs of stopping as of early Sunday morning. Be safe out there, New York. And enjoy.
