Oregon Basketball Outgoing Transfers – Where Are They Going?

What’s up, y’all? Since it’s looking like most of the nation is finishing up the bulk of their basketball rosters, I thought I would compile a list of the (now former) Oregon players, and where they transferred to, in case any of you want to continue to follow their careers.

Let’s start off with the biggest name, hometown kid Jackson Shelstad. Shelstad was held to just 12 games this past season, averaging a career high 15.6 points per game, but also shooting at a career low 39.1% from the field. He never really looked comfortable at any point in the season and made the decision to transfer to the University of Louisville.

Next up is Kwame Evans Jr., who also had a career season last year, averaging 13.3 points, and 7.4 rebounds per game. This one really stings for me, personally, because I feel like he was finally starting to tap into the potential that made him a 5-star recruit in 2023. But, alas, he is transferring to Villanova.

Next is Devon Pryor, the former Texas Longhorn. A solid defender and super bouncy athlete, but ultimately just wasn’t a great system fit for Dana Altman. Pryor averaged just 2.9 points and 2.5 rebounds a game. He is committed to UT Rio Grande Valley.

Up next is Dezdrick Lindsay, who was only here for one season, and honestly, it wasn’t the most stellar year. He averaged just 20.5 minutes a game, scoring ~5 points and grabbing a couple rebounds a game. He is committed to Kansas State.

Next is former 4-star recruit Jamari Phillips, who decided to move on after two seasons in the program. I had really high hopes for this kid when we got him, but he just never popped in Altman’s system. Maybe that was due to a lack of playing time, but on the flip side, if he couldn’t find a way onto the floor for more than 11 minutes a game during the worst season of coach Altman’s Oregon tenure, he clearly just wasn’t a good fit. He averaged just 2.7 points per game and is committed to the Washington State Cougars.

Ege Demir…
