It turns out, more than one Malachi is staying home in Kentucky.
Just a few weeks ago, Malachi Moreno decided to stay in Lexington for his sophomore season on the hardwood. Now, another Malachi is staying home to play college football.

Malachi Brown, a 6-foot-3, 265-pound defensive lineman from Corbin and a 4-star recruit, is staying home to play for the Kentucky Wildcats. Brown made his commitment on Sunday during an official visit to Lexington. On3’s Hayes Fawcett broke the news first.
According to Rivals, Brown is the No. 4-ranked player in Kentucky and No. 29 at his position in the country. 247 Sports Composite has him ranked 262nd nationally. He held additional scholarship offers from Ohio State, Miami, Wisconsin, Louisville, Tennessee, and Nebraska, among others.
The Wildcats now have five in-state commitments in the 2027 class, which is ranked No. 14 overall at 247 Sports.
Excitement is building ahead of Will Stein’s first season as Kentucky’s head coach. If he keeps recruiting at this level, special things may be happening in Lexington.
