The University of Cincinnati has confirmed its 2026 non-conference game with the Dayton Flyers will take place on Saturday, Nov. 14, at UD Arena. A time has not yet been announced.
The Bearcats have not played in Dayton since Dec. 4, 2004, when the Bob Huggins’ Bearcats defeated the Flyers 65-55. Armein Kirkland was UC’s top scorer with 23 points.

The teams didn’t play for 13 years, then the rivalry was rekindled at Heritage Bank Center as a neutral-site game. In 2023, the Flyers, coached by Anthony Grant, defeated the Wes Miller-coached Bearcats 82-68. UC then won downtown, 66-59 in 2024 when UC was ranked No. 19 and the Flyers were No. 22. Last Nov. 11, the Bearcats beat Dayton 74-62 at Fifth Third Arena as the Flyers returned to UC’s campus for the first time in 15 years.

The all-time series began in 1907. UC leads 62-32.

The two schools announced a two-game home-and-home agreement last summer.
Saturday, Nov. 14 may be busy for Bearcats fans
In addition to the UC vs. UD basketball game, Bearcats football team will be in Ames, Iowa, taking on the Iowa State Cyclones. Big 12 gametimes have not yet been announced, and by November they’re typically dictated by the television networks.
