All eyes in the college basketball world were on former Iowa State Cyclones star Milan Momcilovic on Wednesday after he made the decision to withdraw his name from the NBA draft and officially enter the transfer portal.
Several programs were rumored to be interested in the sharpshooting forward, but according to basketball insider Adam Zagoria, Momcilovic is now down to three schools after the St. John’s Red Storm were removed from the sweepstakes.

Momcilovic is expected to make a decision sometime this weekend, with the remaining finalists reportedly being the Kentucky Wildcats, Louisville Cardinals, and Arizona Wildcats.

Momcilovic spent the last three seasons with the Iowa State Cyclones men’s basketball and was productive throughout his tenure while also showing significant improvement each year.
This past season, Momcilovic averaged 16.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game while shooting 50.6% from the field and a remarkable 48.7% from three-point range.

He is reportedly expected to command somewhere between $6 million and $8 million depending on where he ultimately transfers, which would likely pay him more than a rookie NBA contract would have if he had been drafted where many projections placed him — typically in the early-to-mid second round.
