Indiana men’s basketball to face Syracuse in Indianapolis this November

Another game on Indiana men’s basketball’s 2026-27 non-conference schedule, the Hoosiers’ second season under head coach Darian DeVries, is now official.

Indiana is set to take on Syracuse on Monday, November 9, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis with the tip time and broadcast information set to be announced at a later date, per an official release. It’ll be the first of two matchups in the Circle City for the Hoosiers, who are also scheduled to play Kentucky in Lucas Oil Stadium later that month.

The two programs met for the first time decades ago in the 1987 NCAA Championship, with Indiana winning 74-73 thanks to a legendary shot from Keith Smart. Syracuse has won the two most recent matchups, including in the 2013 Sweet Sixteen and a 112-110 regular season game decided in overtime in 2021.

Indiana has made a point out of playing at least one non-conference game in Indianapolis each season, playing Louisville last year after breaking the streak of doing so during the 2024-25 season.
