One of the lowest moments of last season for the Kentucky Wildcats was a 35-point drubbing at the hands of the Gonzaga Bulldogs. It was a game they weren’t competitive in at all, and resulted in boos from from the mostly pro-Kentucky crowd.
That game was the fourth in a planned series of six games between the two teams with Gonzaga holding a 3-1 edge. Unfortunately, fans looking for revenge in 2026 will no longer get that chance.

According to reports, the University of Kentucky and Gonzaga have mutually agreed to end the series. A statement was issued.
The decision was mutually agreed upon by both programs to allow each program freedom to reevaluatae future scheduling priorities, including conference obligations and nonconference opportunities. This decision was in the best interest of both programs.
Next season’s matchup was scheduled to be held in Lexington, and the final game was set to be in Spokane. Kentucky will still have a number of high-profile games on the schedule, but they lose a fun one here.
