Florida has one of the most marketable players in college basketball

According to On3’s most recent NIL 100 valuations, Denzel Aberdeen is the only Florida Gator ranked inside the top 25 nationally. At No. 18, the 22-year-old has an NIL valuation of $2.2 million.

The ranking pins Aberdeen among some of the biggest names in collegiate athletics. It also paints a picture of how drastically Florida basketball’s national profile has ascended under head coach Todd Golden, peaking during the 2024 NCAA championship run.

The Orlando native is coming off the best season of his college career, averaging 13.5 points per game at Kentucky before transferring back to Florida. So while he’s marketable off the court, he drives results on the floor as well.

Aberdeen could become one of the faces of college basketball and for Florida’s 2026 campaign. The former Wildcat is petitioning the NCAA for an additional year of eligibility, having played three years at Florida and one at Kentucky. Golden and the Gators must wait for the special waiver to be granted for Aberdeen to get on the court in Gainesville.
