MSU basketball reportedly in mix for 5-star, No. 2 PG prospect in 2027 class

Michigan State basketball has been linked to one of the top point guard prospects in the 2027 class.

Nasir Anderson of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. recently spoke with Sam Kayser of League Ready and provided a notable update on his recruitment. Within his update, he stated which programs are heavily pursuing him at the moment, which included the Spartans.

According to Kayser, Michigan State, North Carolina, Arkansas, Michigan, Georgia, Indiana, Virginia, Syracuse, Tennessee and Kentucky are the schools showing the most interest in Anderson. The report didn’t state if any of these teams have a particular edge in his recruitment at this time.

Anderson is listed as a five-star prospect, with a recruiting rating of 99.69 in 247Sports’ composite system. He is ranked as the No. 2 point guard and No. 7 overall prospect in the 2027 class.

Michigan State has not yet formally extended an offer to Anderson, according to 247Sports. He does, though, hold offers from nearly 30 schools — which includes the likes of Auburn, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Houston, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, LSU, Louisville, Maryland, Mississippi State, Missouri, North Carolina, Ole Miss, USC and Virginia.
