On Tuesday, May 12, the Big Ten officially revealed each team’s conference opponents for the 2026-27 men’s basketball season.
As always, each team will play a few teams twice. Seeing as there are 18 teams in the conference, a couple of extra matchups are necessary to give each program an even 20 conference games.

For the Wisconsin Badgers, it was revealed that they’ll be playing Illinois, Iowa, and Minnesota twice. Other than that, they’ll have their usual 10-game home and 10-game road slate.
Badgers fans can visit the Big Ten Men’s Basketball social media account to see every team’s schedule, but Wisconsin’s complete list of conference opponents is below.

Road Games
1. Defending national champions come to Madison
Michigan knows it has its work cut out for it if they want to go back-to-back, and that includes a regular-season trip to the Kohl Center. Wisconsin nearly took out the Wolverines in the conference tournament, so this is a chance for the Badgers to make a big impression in front of what should be a sold-out crowd.

2. Four games against Illinois and Iowa won’t be easy
Of the three teams Wisconsin has to play twice, Minnesota is the only one that had a losing conference record (8-12). The Hawkeyes outplayed their 10-10 Big Ten record as they made it all the way to the Elite Eight in Ben McCollum’s first year. Not only that, but Illinois is always dangerous, and Wisconsin just so happened to draw them twice.
3. Toughest road game: Michigan State
Sure, Wisconsin has to go to Illinois, but they also drew Michigan State on the road. The Fighting Illini and Spartans finished with a 15-5 conference record last year, and Tom Izzo hasn’t forgotten about his embarrassing 92-71 loss to Greg Gard from this February.
