While Illinois basketball star Andrej Stojakovic is an intriguing NBA Draft prospect, there is still a question of whether he wants to start his NBA career or stay with the Fighting Illini. After the Illinois basketball team made a Final Four run this past season, Stojakovic would give more insight into his thought process on the upcoming decision.

Stojakovic would speak to Andy Katz and would even ask him about the decision he has to make soon, whether it be to head to the NBA or stay with the Fighting Illini. However, Stojakovic would not give any hints deep into his thinking about the options, saying how they are “both great options.”
“Both great options. Gonna value both at the end of this process, and we’ll see,” Stojakovic said, via Katz.
Where everything stands at the moment, Stojakovic has “entered his name into the NBA Draft,” though there is an opening for returning to the program, as initially reported by Jeff Borzello.
“NEWS: Illinois’ Andrej Stojakovic has entered his name into the NBA draft, sources told ESPN, leaving open the option to return to the Fighting Illini,” Borzello reported on X, formerly Twitter. “He was an All-Region selection during Illinois’ run to the Final Four.”

Last season in his junior year, Stojakovic was one of the stars on the Illinois basketball team, as he averaged 13.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and one assist per game while shooting 50 percent from the field. He would speak about what was the most special moment for him last season, which was obviously reaching the Final Four.
“Making it to the Final Four, 100 percent, after the Iowa game,” Stojakovic said.
