USC lands 2-time All-OVC guard in transfer portal

Eric Musselman tasted the NCAA tournament during his stints with Nevada and Arkansas, but he has yet to reach the big dance with USC. The head coach is hoping that additions like Jadis Jones via the transfer portal will help the Trojans get back to March Madness.

Jones has been one of the most impressive players in the Ohio Valley Conference with Lindenwood during the last two years. He was the conference’s Rookie of the Year during his freshman campaign, and was named to the All-Ohio Valley Conference First Team this past year.

He’s a career 56 percent shooter from the field, which speaks to the guard’s ability to knock down looks in the mid-range and near the rim.

Perhaps Jones’ most remarkable skill set is his ability to rebound at an elite level for a guard, or for anyone. The former Lindenwood star averaged 8.5 boards per contest last season after averaging nearly six rebounds per game as a freshman.

Jones also has quick hands, averaging 1.4 steals per game during his college career.
