Kentucky Wildcats News: Dan Issel Talks UK Basketball

Dan Issel is one of the legends of Kentucky Basketball.

Issel is Kentucky’s all-time leading scorer and one of the best to wear the blue and white, so it was interesting to see Issel join Lou Williams, Michelle Beadle and Chandler Parsons on Run It Back to talk about Kentucky.

Maybe the most interesting bit was when Issel was asked why Kentucky has not won an NCAA title since 2012. Here’s what he had to say:

You can tell Issel made the comments in a (somewhat) joking manner, but we also need to be real about the topic. NIL becoming legal was far from the first time college athletes were paid, whether people want to admit it or not.
