Following a stellar first season, Nolan Smith has already made a huge recruiting splash for Tennessee State. The Tigers have secured the commitment of former five-star recruit Aaron Bradshaw, per a report by On3. Despite standing 7-foot-1, Bradshaw primarily operates as a forward. He averaged 8.6 points and 4.2 rebounds per game while shooting 53.6 percent from the field and converting 77.7 percent of his free throws for Penny Hardaway at Memphis last season.

Bradshaw began his college career at Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball after emerging as one of the top high school prospects in the country. However, his lone season at Kentucky was relatively modest statistically, as he started 10 of 26 games while averaging 4.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 0.7 blocks per contest. He later transferred to Ohio State Buckeyes men’s basketball for the 2024–25 season, but his year was disrupted after he became involved in an investigation related to a possible domestic incident. As a result, he missed multiple games during November and December.

He now joins a Tennessee State team that had immense success under Nolan Smith in his first season with the program. Tennessee State Tigers men’s basketball put together one of the strongest seasons in program history, finishing 21–9 overall and 15–5 in Ohio Valley Conference play. The Tigers closed the regular season on a four-game winning streak, secured the conference’s top seed entering the OVC Tournament, and ultimately captured the tournament championship. Following the season, Nolan Smith was named OVC Coach of the Year.
