Last summer, the Indiana men’s basketball program embarked on a foreign tour (well, kinda) to Puerto Rico ahead of Darian DeVries’ first season as the Hoosiers head coach. It gave the all-new team a few more practices on top of exhibition games.
It seems DeVries thought it was a good idea, because he’s set for another this summer after the NCAA passed a rule allowing programs to embark on an international trip each year.

Indiana, per multiple reports, is planning on another foreign tour ahead of its next season. Unlike last summer, Indiana will leave the United States and make for Peru, giving another transfer-laden team a few more practices and the opportunity to compete in the FISU America games in Lima.
The FISU America Games is a multi-sport event held every two years between collegiate athletes from the Americas as a leadup to the FISU World University Games, a larger scale event between collegiate athletes from around the world. Indiana men’s basketball would be representing the United States in this event.
