A Look Back at Purdue Basketball: Aaron Fine

Aaron Fine, the lone transfer from the Purdue Basketball Team. He was a standout guard at Noblesville and decided that he first wanted to walk on at Purdue. This past season, he appeared in just 9 games after redshirting the previous season, and decided that a new destination was best for him.

Fine would hit the portal and find a home at Ball State with their new coaching staff. Not only is he now in a position to play meaningful minutes, but he also has the potential to be one of the better players on a roster trying to rebuild from the bottom up.

The Purdue coaches always spoke highly of his defensive intensity at practice, and how he challenged their veteran Purdue Backcourt. Fine was not a typical walk-on. He was a 1,000-point scorer at Noblesville and was also tabbed as an Indiana All-Star his senior year.

He will now wear red and black for Ball State and has three years of remaining eligibility, which suggests he has a chance to make an impact at a lower level of basketball but a much better chance to play. It is an opportunity for a talented young man to bet on himself and prove he belongs.
