Kentucky Wildcats News: Otega Oweh dream appers over

Good morning, BBN!

It was a busy day for college athletics as teams across all sports waited to see how the 5-in-5 rule would go over with the Board of Directors. With some positive movement, and it seemingly going forward, the attention immediately turned to Otega Oweh.

With some comments by Derrick Morton going viral among the BBN, everyone questioned whether he would return. It appears, though, that the dream is over as reports are coming in that seniors from this past season would be ineligible for the new rule.

What does that mean for UK? It means it is Tyran Stokes or bust, seemingly to fill the position of “star” on the wing. While Mark Pope and his staff wait out that decision, will the Cats make any other moves to fill out this roster? Let’s hope so, but it appears Oweh will not be a part of the plans.

This is a wild stat.
