Belmont forward Drew Scharnowski transfers to Duke basketball

Former Belmont forward Drew Scharnowski has committed to Duke. He announced his decision April 19 on social media.

Scharnowski is a 6-foot-9 redshirt sophomore from Burlington, Illinois. He was among Belmont’s best defenders in the 2025-26 season and averaged 10.5 points while shooting 68.3% from the field. He also averaged 6.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.4 blocked shots per game.

He started in 24 of the Bruins’ 32 games, scoring in double figures 17 times.
