The Deacs have added another player to the backcourt.
Ray is a 6-3, 170 pound sophomore who averaged 11.3 points per game this season and shot 42% from beyond the arc. His 66 made 3-pointers this season ranked 9th in the CAA and would have put him 2nd on the team for the Deacs this season behind Juke Harris’s 87 made 3-pointers. Ray scored in double figures in 17 games this season, including a career high 27 points against Northeastern in a game where he made 7 of his 14 3-point attempts. He also scored 25 points to go along with 3 assists in a loss to Syracuse.

Based on these highlights from that Syracuse game, Ray is mostly a spot up shooter with in-the-gym range, but can put the ball on the floor and get to the basket when guys overplay him. I would expect him to come off the bench for the Deacs next season to help space the court and provide some distance shooting.
Go Deacs.
