Fans of MAC basketball know just how much of a threat Ryan Sabol is from downtown. Fans of Big East basketball are going to see it for themselves firsthand soon, as the Providence Journal reports the guard has transferred to Providence for his senior season.
Sabol is a career 37% shooter from long range, inclusive of his junior year, where he shot just a touch under 40% from distance. The 6-foot-2 sniper started 89 out of a possible 94 games in three years at Buffalo, averaging 33 minutes per contest.

He’ll be an interesting piece for new head coach Brian Hodgson, who is looking to craft a roster to hit the ground running with the Friars.
Hodgson might use some of last season’s blueprint, too, as the Friars were second in the Big East in three-point percentage.
